How a 67-Cent Copper Bracelet Started AceMagnetics

The AceMagnetics story began in Texas in 1996. Before a round of golf, we purchased a copper bracelet for $15. A close associate looked at it and joked, “If you could put 15 pennies together, you’d have a copper bracelet.”

That observation struck a nerve. We asked ourselves a simple question: “How much could we make a quality copper bracelet for?” The answer turned out to be 67 cents—and AceMagnetics was born.

We began working with golf representatives who introduced our bracelets to customers locally and eventually throughout the country. As the internet started becoming part of everyday life, we launched AceMagnetics online in 2000. From there, we were off to the races.

From Copper Bracelets to Magnetic Jewelry

After years of offering copper bracelets in a variety of styles, an unexpected moment at a trade show pointed us in a new direction. A vendor handed us a small magnetic disc as a sample. The moment we examined it, we recognized its potential and believed magnetic jewelry would appeal to many of our customers.

That instinct led us to expand beyond copper and introduce metal magnetic bracelets to the AceMagnetics collection.

Copper and metal magnetic bracelets remain popular with many of our customers.
